It’s only been a couple of weeks since my last Tottenham Vs Manchester City predictions for this fixture. Last time, as I predicted, there would be plenty of goals in the match and we were treated to a 4-2 classic at the Etihad in Manchester.
Since then, Man City have been on top form, defeating Wolves 3-0 in the league and beating Arsenal 1-0 in the FA Cup. Spurs have also been on fire, winning their last two games beating Fulham 1-0 at Craven Cottage in the Premier League and easily defeating Preston 3-0 in the FA Cup.
City sit in second place in the Premier League table, 5 points behind the leaders Arsenal and Tottenham are fifth, just 3 points off the Champions League spots. Therefore, it will be a huge fixture, with both sides needing a win to keep the pressure on.

Tottenham vs City Team News
Pep Guardiola welcomes back Ruben Diaz to the defence, but John Stones will miss the match after coming off against Arsenal with a hamstring problem. The only other major news is the surprise move of Joao Cancelo who’s left the Etihad and joined Bayern Munich on loan with an option to buy for £62m. It was reported in the newspapers that Cancelo and Pep had a bust up on the training field. Whether this will affect the team chemistry remains to be seen.
For Spurs, Conte has a fully fit squad to choose from, with his two new signings Porro and Danjuma possibly making their debuts. Porro, who plays right back, will most probably start ahead of Emerson Royal, which I am certain will bring Spurs’ fans some joy.
Surprisingly, Spurs allowed Irish right back Doherty to terminate his contract and he has since joined Atletico Madrid on a free transfer. So it will be all guns blazing for both sides, with injuries and suspensions playing no part in my Tottenham Vs Manchester City football predictions.

In the last Spurs Vs City match, we were all treated to a goalfest. Spurs took the lead because of an Ederson poor pass to Rodri, when the ball ricocheted to Tottenham winger Kulusevski who slotted the ball home in the bottom left corner. Three minutes later, Royal doubled their lead, and Spurs went into half time at 2-0.
However, the fixture was certainly a game of two halves. Pep must have given his City team an amazing half time team talk as City scored 4 goals in the second half to clinch a much needed three points.
These two sides have produced many great games over the years. So my Tottenham vs Manchester City prediction 5th February is no different than what usually happens. From the expected goals stats, Spur’s Xg is 1.64 and City’s is 2.15. Goals have been a common theme between these two clubs, and who can ever forget back in 2019 when Spurs beat City on away goals in the Champions League.
Both teams are on form, with City winning their last three games, and Spurs winning their last two. Moreover, in total Pep and Conte have squared off six times, with both managers winning three matches each.

If you read my Manchester City Vs Tottenham predictions, you’ll notice that the key theme was goals. As both sides have the Premier League first and second top scorer, in Haaland and Kane, goals are a guarantee.
Because of this, there is no value in the over 2.5 goals market, so I am playing it safe this time and opting for the over 3.5 goals with William Hill. It’s fairly priced at @ 11/8, but if you are feeling more adventurous, the over 4.5 goals market is offered @ 3/1 at the same sportsbook.
Whether the Cancelo bust up at the training ground plays a role in this fixture remains to be seen. Yet, if it does affect the City team, a bet on Spurs to win the game could offer some value. Also, Spurs will have home advantage, and often play well against Man City. On Coral, for Spurs to win in 90 mins is 17/5, but I will remain vigilant with cashout options throughout the match.
Another Tottenham vs Manchester City prediction 5th February, but just as a hedge, is both teams to score and Man City to win. On Ladbrokes, it’s priced at a generous 21/10, and it will be my biggest bet for this fixture.
